Notebooks
I’ve kept a sketchbook since the early 1980’s – sometimes obsessively sometimes infrequently – sometimes for imaging thoughts, recording events, developing ideas, collecting the ready made – archiving research.
Sketchbooks are a place for me to store material, to keep my eye tuned – to practice observational imaging – to clear my head – to confess – to let off steam – to document – to archive – to investigate and explore an interest – they are snapshots of my life – thinking, seeing, hearing, in marks on the paper.
