I've kept a sketchbook since the early 1980's - sometimes obsessively sometimes infrequently - sometimes for imaging thoughts, recording events, developing ideas, collecting the ready made- archiving research.

Sketchbooks are a place for me to store material, to keep my eye tuned - to practice observational imaging- to clear my head - to confess- to let off steam - to document - to archive - to investigate and explore an interest- they are snap shots of my life - thinking, seeing, hearing, in marks on the paper.
